R.K.™ Epidural Needles

Developed by Epimed, the R.K.™ epidural needle is a modified Tuohy epidural needle with an opened and dulled bevel to allow safer catheter passage. A large triangle is printed on the hub in the direction of the bevel to assist in correct placement.

RX™ Epidural Needle

The patented RX™ epidural needle ensures more precise needle tip placement and positioning of epidural catheters. The bevel opening at distal tip is shorter than a standard Touhy Needle. As with the Epimed R.K.™ epidural needle, the RX™ rear heel is rounded to resist catheter shearing during placement.

RX Coudé® Needle

The patented RX Coudé® epidural needle ensures more precise needle tip placement and positioning of epidural catheters. The RX Coudé® can be positioned so that the front bevel forms a flat surface parallel to the ligamentum flavum and the dura, limiting the chance of dural puncture. Once epidural placement is confirmed, the needle can be rotated towards your target site. The RX rear heel is rounded to resist catheter shearing during placement.

Spring catheters

R.E.C.

This is the original spring catheter that started it all. It possesses the same basic features of the Epimed spring guide epidural catheter product line but with the least stiff catheter body. This catheter has a basic fluoropolymer coating.

Brevi-Kath

Heavy duty catheter body and soft tip in convenient lengths.

Tun-L-Kath

Firm, directable catheter body. Round, deflective atraumatic tip design (stylette does not extend to the distal tip). Both systems have annealed fluoropolymer coatings for greater durability and ease in placement. Precise directional control.

Brevi-XL

Similar to the Brevi-Kath with the added versatility of selective distal end stiffness (i.e. firm or soft) by adjusting the stylette. Even with the stiffer distal end, the catheter maintains a round, deflective, atraumatic tip. The stylette runs the entire length of the catheter to the distal end. The XL-2 model is supplied with a spare stylette.

Versa-Kath®

21g catheter for cervical applications. Reduced size, same 1:1 torque and directability. Due to its slim design, the Versa-Kath® is the only spring guide epidural catheter that can be introduced through an 18g needle. Packaged with a stylette.

Blunt Needles for Nerve Block

The blunt tip of the Epimed needle enhances tactile feedback as the needle tip passes through various tissue planes. The blunt tip is designed to deflect rather than transfix neural structures and blood vessels. The curved cannula aids in guiding the needle tip to enable site specific injections. The side port allows drugs to be distributed laterally around the needle tip and directly target the nerve.

Designed for atraumatic access for nerve blocks: sleeve blocks, deep muscle blocks, hypogastric blocks, paravertebral blocks, joint blocks, facets, selective nerve root, lumbar sympathetic, celiac plexus.

Blunt Nerve Block Needles - Coudé®

A Coudé (curved) version of the blunt nerve block needle that has a 15° bend in the cannula approximately one centimetre from the distal end allowing for precise tip placement even with difficult to reach target areas.

14g RX Coudé® Needle

The patented RX Coudé® Needle is the perfect introducer needle for stimulator lead placement. This needle is dimensionally compatible with trial or implantable electrodes placed through a 14g introducer currently available from various manufacturers. It is ideal for Retrograde Stimulator placement. The RX™ rear heel is rounded to resist lead shearing during placement..

Stingray™ Connector

The Stingray™ connector is a new, prize winning, catheter connection device available from Epimed International. Designed to work with 19g (Blue) and 21g(Green) catheters they provide a simple and secure connector system. The flatter, low profile configuration provides for better patient comfort than standard products in this area.

Radiation Protection

Providing the ideal combination of radiation reduction, dexterity, comfort and sensitivity. With a material thickness of only 0.18mm these gloves allow the greatest possible flexibility, dexterity and sensitivity of touch.

These products are lead, latex and powder free for reduced risk of allergic reactions. Available in half sizes from 6½ to 9. Manufactured by International Biomedical Inc
